We’re Design Thinkers.

Design Thinking is a great methodology to find solutions to business problems. It’s clean, it’s simple, it takes into account both business and customer objectives. It refines those objectives and makes comprehensive business solutions possible.

Why Design Thinking works

Image

SCALABLE

Design Thinking is a scalable methodology. This means that we can exclude steps that are not relevant, or begin the process at any one of the steps. This creates flexibility to ideate within the constraints of time and budget.

FIVE STEPS

Design Thinking is comprised of five clear steps. Empathise, define, ideate, prototype and test, and implement. Each step yields insights and clear progress to clearly defined outcomes.

TRIED AND TESTED

Design Thinking has been used across a myriad of industries for the last 30 years. It is well known for its ability to yield clear results that lead to innovation.

Our Design Thinking phases

EMPATHY

We talk to your target market. Invite them for coffee, approach them in the street, or have a one-on-one. Read body language, pay attention and spend time. Avoid leading questions. We generate personas and user journeys which can be used to inform business decisions.

DEFINITION

The definition phase is about taking the personas and journeys we mapped out in the first phase and using them to define the problem we are trying to solve. Very often, the issue we believe we need to solve is not the real issue we discover when we’ve completed the definition phase.

IDEATION

Ideation is looking for creative solutions to the issues we’ve discovered. This is a creative job, and it helps to have a good mix of creative and business people in the room to ensure that solutions are as effective as they are creative.

PROTOTYPE

Prototyping is the phase where we take our most feasible ideas, and create rapid prototypes. Whether it be an application or a new process, rapid prototyping is about creating a minimum viable product to test internally with the team, and with the consumer.

IMPLEMENT

When we’ve tested a successful prototype, the final phase is to build a fully fledged version of it, and implement it. Implementation is no less rigorous, and every element of the implementation will be monitored and analysed.
