We’re delighted to be Acquia’s preferred partner in Southern Africa. We take this opportunity seriously and to show our commitment to their products, and to Drupal best practice, we require all of our developers to be Acquia certified.
Acquia is a US-based business which was founded by Drupal creator Dries Buytaert. It started as a cloud hosting platform specifically optimised for Drupal but has since added a range of solutions including advanced web analytics and content personalisation (Lift), broader multi channel marketing automation (Journey) and digital asset management (DAM).
Over the last few years, Acquia’s caught the eye of the big research firms and is the only open source platform to be named as a Leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Web Content Management and the Forrester Wave: Web Content Management Systems.
This solution, built on the proven Amazon Web Services (AWS), offers an environment where a Drupal website can flourish - and speaking from personal experience, we’ve seen significant performance improvements since migrating our client websites over to the Acquia environment. More to the point, we’ve been hugely impressed at the level of support we’ve received from the Acquia teams in the UK and US.
Acquia Cloud is constantly being improved as the digital landscape is ever evolving. Features like continuous integration and continuous delivery ensure that developers would enjoy the solution as much as you would. Additional features include, Stack Metrics integration, Support for Node.js applications, best practice workflow enforcement, unmatched security and many more.
Acquia Site Factory
Alongside its hosting environment, Acquia has created Site Factory to meet the needs of large corporates who have multiple websites and wish to house these in a single management platform. Site Factory has been adopted by brands like SAB Miller (AB InBev), Nestle and Pfizer who want to pool digital assets, have central user management and ensure that their individual brand sites have a consistent look and feel.
Lift gives web owners the ability to track user interaction on their website, build personas based on audience interest and then present tailored content to them that’s based on these interest areas. As well as improving discovery, building a more engaging browsing experience will likely improve conversion and other KPIs.
Stemming from Acquia Lift, Journey was developed to take user interaction to the next logical step, Multichannel integration. Acquia Journey gives you the ability to map, assemble, orchestrate and manage customer experiences across different channels. Acquia Journey unifies various platforms such as marketing and advertising technologies, CRM tools and ecommerce platforms under a single under interface making it possible to quickly assemble powerful and complex user journeys.
Digital asset management is a problem that many organisations and online systems face. While content management systems make it very easy to get your content online, the management of digital assets like video, documents and images is easily ignored. Acquia DAM has been developed to resolve this common problem. All digital assets are loaded to a central repository where users can gather requirements, share drafts, consolidate feedback and collect approvals for high-value marketing assets. It has easy to use workflow and collaboration capabilities, ensuring that marketers and designers work, review, markup, approve and publish assets faster. Acquia DAM integrates seamlessly into the Digital Experience platform mentioned above and into Drupal systems, using DAM as a media source when managing content.
